Eating something that looks like octopus sashimi
I’m an EPIK English teacher based in Ulsan, South Korea, working in a public elementary school teaching grades 3-6. My one-year contract started on October 1, 2010. This blog will chronicle my adventures (and mis-adventures) between 10/1/2010 and 10/1/2011 in and around Korea as I attempt to figure out how to teach, navigate Korean culture, and explore my surroundings. During my time in Korea, I hope to explore Taekwondo or other martial arts, yoga, Buddhism, what it’s like to be a female in Korea, and samulnori or other traditional Korean drumming and/or music.
